South Yarra Renovation
This charming heritage listed Victorian terrace in South Yarra underwent a structural renovation, which was designed and built by Gentrify. This home is perfectly situated in one of South Yarra’s most popular quiet, leafy streets just a couple of minutes’ walk from the famous and trendy Chapel Street.
Being heritage listed, the front of the home had to be left untouched to retain its period character, however the rear of the home was completely transformed into a relaxing and spacious sanctuary filled with and abundance of natural light.
The original dwelling was extremely tired and outdated with a poorly laid out floor plan, so our clients engaged Gentrify to re-design and renovate the home to create contemporary and functional spaces perfectly tailored to our client’s lifestyle and unique taste. Due to structural degradation, the rear portion of the house was demolished to make way for a new, larger contemporary structure with open plan living. The renovation comprised the following key elements:
